SARAH KIRK, L.N.A.T.D, B.Sc. (Hons)
Sarah began dancing at the age of 6, when she attended one of the first classes ever taught by Janet, and during her 24 years with the school, she has seen it develop from the Janet Wright School of Dancing, into the highly successful 'ARTS'. Sarah was trained in tap, ballet, and modern to the age of 21, and following this, she began to specialise in tap, her strongest discipline.

To date, Sarah has performed in 13 out of the 14 shows ARTS has produced, and has performed with the school at numerous prestigious venues, including two West End theatres, and most memorably The Royal Albert Hall and Disneyland Paris. Sarah has choreographed many tap routines for the students of ARTS, and in 2008, was delighted to take her version of Riverdance to London's Shaftesbury Theatre.

In 1998, Sarah left Norfolk to study Physiotherapy at Oxford Brookes University, gaining a 2:1 B.Sc. (Hons) degree in 2001. During her three years at university, she maintained her involvement with ARTS, returning to dance in two of the school's shows, and winning the ARTS Outstanding Achievement Award.

Sarah works full time as a Senior Physiotherapist at the James Paget Hospital, specialising in the treatment of stroke patients. In addition to this rewarding career, she still teaches 2 nights a week at ARTS, and attends a street dance class herself. Sarah has achieved Distinction in her last 4 tap exams, passing her Licentiate teaching qualification in 2009 with a score of 93/100.

Sarah's vision for the future involves passing her Advanced 2 tap exam, and eventually gaining her Fellowship teaching qualification, as well as continuing to enjoy the ongoing development and success of her students.
