Fiona Kerr
Fiona began playing the piano at the age of 13, and soon after, started playing in numerous music festivals in Hertfordshire and North London.  She also began training in gymnastics and trampolining which then ultimately led to her qualifying as a Teacher of Exercise to Music with the Y.M.C.A.  After moving from Hertfordshire to Norfolk, Fiona ran her own fun and fitness aerobics classes in village halls around Wymondham for some time before starting a family.  Occasionally, she would step in as a relief teacher of aerobics at Center Parcs, Elveden

After a career break having had children, Fiona resumed her serious piano studies under Christopher Green Armytage, a highly acclaimed teacher and concert pianist, and singing with Jennifer Hamilton, a former opera singer.  Fiona has been teaching now for 7 years and for the last 3 ½ years has been specializing in teaching piano to students who have anorexia and bulimia, as part of their therapy plan.  Her warm personality and endless patience with these students has seen dramatic results, as they generally wish to continue playing the piano when they go back into the community after treatment for their condition

Fiona regularly participates in local music festivals and is a member of Amamusica, a group of musicians from North Norfolk. She sang as a soprano soloist in Wells Church during their summer season of lunchtime concerts last August, singing Haydn songs.  Fiona has a successful private teaching practice working from home and from Easter 2010 onwards she will be working at Wicklewood Primary School as a peripatetic teacher of piano.
