HEAD GIRL 2004 - 2006 LISA ARNUP
Our head-girl for 2004 is Miss Lisa Arnup who has attended ARTS (and formerly the Janet Wright Dancing School) since she was 4 years old.
She is a great asset to the school and has always excelled in her Dance training, gaining many Honours and Disctinctions throughout her Graded examinations. She has enjoyed performing in many productions and at the age of 6 was chosen to play Jane Banks in Mary Poppins. She has also been a caterpillar in the Circle of Life, a Dancing Doll in Nutcracker, a Flower fairy and a Jitterbug in The Wizard of Oz, lead Pirate for the EuroDisney Show in Paris, lead dancer for the Lord of the Dance at Her Majestys, and danced a duet in Jesus Christ Superstar – Le Voyage de Temps.
She has also successfully auditioned and taken part in many other performances including; Her Majestys, Sadlers Wells, The Royal Albert Hall, Britannia and Wellington Pier in Gt Yarmouth, Kings Lynn Variety Show, Springfields Exhibition centre in Spalding and the Mardi Gras challenge (Dance competition) at Sadlers Wells with Talents Theatre School. Lisa has also been a Senior Dancer for the Onward Players Pantomime 2001-2005, and has been dancing with the ARTS cabaret group since she was 15.
Lisa was the winner of the Senior Achievement award in the year 2000, and the Ballet cup in 2001. She has participated in ARTS workshops, competitions and parties, NATD workshops in London and also last year the NATD scholarship competition in Manchester. Lisa is also a talented musician and took part in the ARTS Musical evening playing the flute.
Lisa now enjoys teaching the younger pupils and passing her hard-earned knowledge down to the younger generation! She has recently passed her Intermediate Foundation Modern Exam with Distinction.
