Feature- ARTS pupil success
at Youth Music Theare 'Annie' Auditions
Auditions were held recently for The Norfolk Youth Music Theatre’s performance of ‘Annie’ at The Playhouse Theatre, Norwich, in April.
Several ARTS’ pupils attended the auditions in January where they were asked to sing solo, recite a monologue and perform a short tap dance in front of Director Adrian Connell.
After beating out a huge number of talented youngsters from across Norfolk, 5 of our own talented pupils were invited back to recalls the following week and ARTS is now pleased to confirm that all 5 pupils were selected to help make up the ensemble of 19 orphans.
Special congratulations goes to Anna Davey who will take on the title role of ‘Annie’ in the production and Meredith Winship who successfully won the role of the youngest orphan ‘Molly’.

Other named parts are yet to be allocated but for now we say a big well done to their fellow orphans Chloe Hallett, Lauren Syder and Victoria Underwood.
Rehearsals are already underway for this fun-filled family musical, which boasts a host of well-loved songs including ‘It’s the Hard Knock Life’, ‘Maybe’ and, of course, ‘Tomorrow’.
The show runs from Wednesday 14th to Saturday 17th April at The Playhouse Theatre, Norwich.
Tickets cost £12 for Adults and £9.00 for Concessions and are available from the
Theatre Royal Box Office.
ARTS would like to say well done to everyone that auditioned for the show and congratulations to our successful pupils.
We hope you will all join us in supporting our girls as they tread the boards in what we are sure will be an extremely entertaining show!
